360° Evaluations
360° evaluations, also known as multi-rater feedback, are a powerful tool in Elairo that gather performance feedback from multiple sources, including managers, peers, subordinates, and even external stakeholders. This comprehensive approach provides a well-rounded perspective on an individual's strengths and areas for development, fostering personal growth and professional improvement.
Why Use 360° Evaluations?
Holistic Feedback: Get a complete picture of an individual's performance beyond just manager input.
Identify Blind Spots: Uncover areas for development that might not be visible to the individual or their direct manager.
Promote Self-Awareness: Help employees understand how their actions are perceived by others.
Support Development: Provide actionable insights for creating targeted Development Plans.
Enhance Team Collaboration: Improve communication and understanding within teams.
Setting Up a 360° Evaluation Cycle
Launching a 360° evaluation in Elairo is a straightforward process designed to give you control over the feedback cycle.
Step-by-Step: Initiating a New Cycle
Navigate to Evaluations: From the Elairo main menu, click on "Formation," then select "360° Evaluations."
Start New Cycle: Click the "New Evaluation Cycle" button.
Define Cycle Name: Give your evaluation cycle a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Q3 2024 Leadership Feedback").
Set Start and End Dates: Specify the period during which feedback can be submitted. Ensure you allow ample time for all raters to provide thoughtful responses.
Select Participants: Choose the team members who will be receiving 360° feedback during this cycle. You can select individuals or entire Teams/Departments.
Choose Evaluation Template: Elairo offers various pre-built templates focusing on different competencies (e.g., leadership, communication, collaboration). You can also create custom templates.
Configure Anonymity Settings: Decide whether feedback for each participant will be anonymous to the participant, their manager, or both. Elairo recommends maintaining anonymity for peers and subordinates to encourage honest feedback.
Add Instructions (Optional): Provide any specific guidelines or context for the raters.
Launch Cycle: Once all settings are configured, click "Launch Cycle" to initiate the evaluation.
Adding Raters to Participants
After launching the cycle, you'll need to assign raters to each participant.
Access Participants: From the 360° Evaluations dashboard, click on the name of the active cycle.
Select a Participant: Choose the individual you want to add raters for.
Assign Raters:
Managers: The participant's direct manager is usually added automatically.
Peers: Use the "Add Peer" button to search for and select colleagues who work closely with the participant.
Direct Reports: If the participant manages others, use the "Add Direct Report" button to select their team members.
Other: For external stakeholders or other relevant individuals, use the "Add Other" option.
Review and Notify: Ensure all relevant raters have been assigned. Elairo will automatically send notifications to assigned raters.
Managing the Review Cycle
Once the cycle is active, you can monitor its progress and make adjustments.
Track Completion: The 360° Evaluations dashboard provides an overview of completion rates for each participant and rater.
Send Reminders: Elairo allows you to send automated or manual reminders to raters who haven't completed their feedback.
Extend Deadlines: If necessary, you can extend the end date for the entire cycle or for individual participants.
Close Cycle: Once the feedback period is over and you're ready to compile results, you can manually close the cycle.
